United Territories of Pacific Islanders Alliance - WA & Seattle Asian American Film Festival (SAAFF) are proud to present our second annual film showcase as a part of SAAFF’s free outdoor Summer Cinema series, located in the heart of Seattle’s Chinatown-International District. With free craft activities, performances, and short films, this event highlights and celebrates Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander (NH/PI) stories, cultures, and creatives.

The film festival is the flagship event of artistic creation and cultural rebirth of indigenous peoples of the Americas and the world. Place of creation, meetings and discoveries, the multidisciplinary event unfolds for ten days in August. The Place des Festivals, with its giant teepee, then becomes the beating heart of intense artistic activity that radiates throughout the city. Rise and shine! The Academy Award®-Qualifying Indy Shorts International Film Festival is back with sʼmore short film fun! The ultimate film adventure runs July 18 through 23, at Living Room Theaters, Newfields, and virtually. 

With 165+ short films curated into 29 themed programs, there’s a short for everyone! Aikāne screens in a shorts program titled WATER: Dive into a captivating aquatic journey as these evocative shorts explore the beauty, power, and transformative presence of water in all its forms.

The 29th annual Palm Springs International ShortFest returns to the Camelot Theatres (Palm Springs Cultural Center) from June 20-26. The festival will screen 50 curated programs showcasing 299 films including 53 World Premieres, 10 International Premieres, 33 North American Premieres and 18 U.S. Premieres.
