New Orleans Film Festival

The 34th annual, Oscar-qualifying New Orleans Film Festival returns November 2-7, 2023 in venues across the city with in-person events, parties, panels, filmmaker pitches, and much more!

The majority of the lineup will also be accessible via the NOFF Virtual Cinema globally between November 2-12, 2023. Geo-restrictions may apply to some screenings.

NOFF annually brings together 150+ films and hosts 100+ filmmakers in New Orleans to celebrate works of emerging and established filmmakers from New Orleans, Louisiana, the South, and beyond.

After receiving 3,900 submissions from 117 countries for the 34th anniversary of the festival, our seasoned team of programmers selected a slate of 127 films in competition that represent a wealth of perspectives. These include 29 feature films (19 documentaries, 10 narrative features) and 98 short films, with 22 world premieres, 6 US premieres, and 38 Southern premieres.

AIKĀNE is one of ten animated shorts selected for this yearʻs festival.

New Orleans shines ever brighter as an epicenter of culture and creativity during the New Orleans Film Festival, with 500+ filmmakers from every corner of the world in attendance at 220+ films. We see our greatest impact in the exchange of ideas that occurs when over 35,000 people gather over the course of 8 days to champion film in New Orleans and engage with visionary films, directors, and other film lovers. NOFF is one of the few film festivals that is Oscar®-qualifying in all three Academy-accredited categories.
